Rock climbing in remote mountains, reliving history in the places it happened, seeing strangers become friends as we exchanged ideas, marveling at the stories of local artisans, savoring local food in the homes it was cooked… These memories from our early travel experiences to dozens of countries and cultures shaped our perspectives, passions, and ultimately the trajectory of our lives. Upon our families meeting in 2017, we quickly recognized a shared love for travel and culture. After visiting Morocco on numerous occasions and now living here since 2022, our passion for transformative travel was birthed and with it the vision for The Mint Effect. We have set out to develop a niche travel consultation company that intentionally connects travelers to the beauty of Morocco through authentic and immersive travel experiences. Now you may be asking, why The Mint Effect? Well, as you will soon find out when visiting Morocco, tea is a cultural icon – specifically mint tea. In short, some fresh mint transforms an ordinary cup of tea into something extraordinary, and every cup of tea is an opportunity for connection and conversation. This is core to what we envision for every person we work with – travel that includes extraordinary moments, opportunities for connection with locals and culture, all of which cultivate a positive, lasting effect in each person’s life.

Whether running through the medina alleys or relaxing and enjoying local cuisine, my passion for authentic experiences has taken my family and I to very special places across Morocco. Getting to exchange life stories and bridging cultural differences have deeply impacted me and are some of the goals that I seek to fulfill when crafting experiential travel opportunities. The hospitality of Morocco is unmatched, and I can’t wait to embark on new adventures together!

Having had the privilege of traveling to many countries, it was a cup of mint tea and conversation with new friends in the Atlas Mountains in 2013 that was most profound. Now living in Morocco, my passion is creating exceptional experiences that connect people and cultures in a purposeful way, leaving a lasting effect in travelers and locals alike. My family and I love exploring Morocco, eating seven veggie couscous, and especially enjoy meaningful connections and conversations with friends locally and around the world.
